Princeton makes audacious bets on talent and ideas, supporting high-intensity, boundary-pushing, interdisciplinary research initiatives in Artificial Intelligence.
Research Initiatives
Princeton has developed a series of major research initiatives to move at the speed of AI discovery.
AI for Accelerating Invention uses AI to fundamentally change the process of invention — from design, to simulation, to fabrication, to control. Among the challenges it will tackle: containing plasma and revolutionizing material design and structure.
Natural and Artificial Minds takes advantage of advances in AI to study natural and artificial minds in parallel, creating the opportunity to make discoveries about ourselves and to find new ways to understand and improve AI systems.
Princeton Language and Intelligence (PLI) seeks to develop fundamental understanding of large AI models; enable their application to research and education across academic disciplines; and study societal and ethical implications of AI as well as develop methods to avert any harms.
Our Community
Drawing on Princeton's strength in a wide range of academic disciplines, we are building a community of scholars who are harnessing state-of-the-art AI technologies to unlock exciting new insights across the entire campus.
